What is adaptive yoga?

In adaptive yoga, postures are adapted with the use of props to meet the needs of the students.

The aim is to explore and experiment poses, to reveal the sensations at the core of the practice and deepen the mind-body awareness and integration, regardless of the level and abilities of the student.

Training the ability to listen and feel during the practice helps us to be more aware of the mind-body connection.

This allows us to rediscover and integrate the sensations of rhythm, grounding, expansion, balance, presence, that are part of the experience of being fully alive and can help us feel more connected to ourselves and to the world around us.

Adaptive yoga classes also represent a safe and welcoming environment in which we can take care of ourselves and share humanity with others.

The yoga we practice is inspired by the teachings of Matthew Sanford and Mind Body Solutions.
